Why First Pass Data exists
Item setup is detail work with hard deadlines: dozens of required fields, exact dropdown values, barcode formats that break in a spreadsheet, and asset windows measured in hours. Most of that is provable — a barcode is either valid or it isn't, a color either matches the approved list or it doesn't. So we built software to catch everything provable, and left the judgment calls to a person.
That's the whole method: software fixes what it can prove, and a person decides everything else before anything is submitted.
Who's behind it
First Pass Data was founded by Chris Mosley, who brings 26 years of operations, vendor and product management, and distribution experience — including product management and manufacturing-floor operations roles in consumer goods and industrial equipment.
Every file gets two sets of eyes: the pipeline that checks it against the buyer's rules, and a dedicated reviewer who signs off before anything ships.
